Neeley Differential Tuition

The Neeley School of Business is TCU’s largest college in terms of majors and continues to drive registration and impact for the university. This decision was made after much analysis and consideration. The undergraduate differential tuition for Neeley courses will support student growth and advance the value of a Neeley degree through the implementation and advancement of high-impact student programs.

All students who take an undergraduate business course offered by TCU Neeley.  

$250 per credit hour for Neeley School of Business undergraduate courses. It takes approximately 70 business credit hours to graduate with a degree from the Neeley School of Business.

Yes, it applies to all Neeley undergraduate business courses. The $250 per credit cost is for all TCU undergraduate students, regardless of major, who enroll in undergraduate Neeley business courses. For example, a student majoring in a field other than business will only pay differential tuition for credit hours taken in the Neeley School of Business. 

The new rate will be applied to Neeley undergraduate business courses in Academic Year 2024-2025, which begins in August 2024.

Differential tuition will enhance the Neeley School student experience by offering elevated access to world‐class business education, including participation in high‐impact programs that will bolster skill‐development and employment outcomes. The funds will be invested to increase the value of a TCU and Neeley School of Business education. Neeley’s student population has experienced record-setting demand, and it is our goal to ensure course availability and access to the optimal class size TCU’s students, families and faculty value. Smaller, leading-edge courses are critical components to the personalized, experiential, and market-driven educational content offered in Neeley. Furthermore, students from across TCU are expressing strong interest in taking business courses to complement their field‐specific education. This increase allows Neeley to meet this growing student community.

We are firmly committed to ensuring that TCU remains accessible to all qualified students, regardless of their financial circumstances, and are committed to providing financial aid to students with financial need. Students currently pursuing a Neeley degree should not be prevented by this change from completing their education. 

TCU offers students the opportunity to apply for assistance outside the annual application process and special need-based aid consideration will be made for existing TCU Neeley students as this new differential tuition fee is implemented. An application for the Neeley Differential Tuition grant is available in your myTCU portal (Financial Aid tile, Financial Aid Year 2024-2025, My Financial Aid). Review of applications will begin once TCU receives the student’s 2024-2025 FAFSA and/or other required aid applications.

For financial assistance, students will need to file the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The application process is completed entirely online and will be available at FAFSA® Application | Federal Student Aid in December. For specific questions, please contact the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid at financialaid@tcu.edu.

TCU Neeley will use these revenues in a variety of ways. Initial investment will focus on additional faculty; funding career center support; additional academic and professional development advisors; increasing field and other experiential learning opportunities; and purchasing equipment and innovative technologies that students may use to prepare for future employment. Differential tuition enhances the student learning experience once they are in their major and better prepares them for their next steps.
