Interview Day FAQ

Only select candidates will be invited to interview upon submitting a complete MBA application. Applicants who are invited to interview will be able to do so in-person or virtually. Invitations are extended to finalists via e-mail. Those invited to interview will receive specific instructions for how to schedule an interview.

The interview day is designed to provide an opportunity for the TCU MBA admissions committee to get to know you better and assess your fit for the program. It is also a chance for you to learn more about the program, meet faculty and staff, and interact with current MBA students.

Prior to the interview day, we recommend thoroughly researching the TCU MBA program, its curriculum, and any specific areas of interest you may have. Review your application materials, including your resume and essays, and be prepared to discuss your experiences, achievements, and career goals. Additionally, consider preparing a list of questions to ask during the interviews or information sessions.

The interview day typically consists of a TCU Neeley tour and multiple opportunities to interview with faculty, staff, current students and alumni. You can expect to participate in individual interviews with members of the admissions committee, engage in group discussions, and discuss your experience and career goals with our Career Management team.

It is common for multiple candidates to interview on the same day. If another prospective MBA candidate is interviewing with you, we hope you take it as an opportunity to network and collaborate with a potential classmate (hint: you are not competing against each other!).

We recommend wearing a formal suit or professional attire that reflects your best professional self. Candidates are encouraged to dress in a manner that aligns with their identity, cultural background, and personal comfort, while still maintaining a polished and professional appearance. If you have any specific concerns or questions regarding professional dress, please feel free to reach out to the TCU MBA program admissions team for guidance and support.

The duration and time of the interview day may vary, but you should plan to spend at least three hours on campus. An example of a common interview schedule looks like this:
9:30 am: TCU Neeley Tour
10:00 am: Group interview with TCU Admission committee
10:30 am: Career experience and goals interview with a TCU MBA Career Coach
11:00 am: “Why an MBA at TCU?” Interview with Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs
11:30 am: Lunch with students at a local restaurant
1:00 pm: Dismissal

Yes, it is common for breakfast or lunch to be provided during the interview day. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please notify the TCU MBA program admissions team in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Parking is available in any Faculty/Staff or Commuter Lot. Interview candidates will receive a visitor parking pass via email prior to the interview day, or can pick one up the day of your interview.

Yes, the interview day is designed to give you an opportunity to interact with current MBA students. They may participate in panel discussions, networking sessions, or informal conversations, providing you with valuable insights into the program and its community. The TCU MBA program aims to provide decisions to candidates within two weeks after the interview day. The exact timeline may vary depending on the stage of the admissions cycle, but we strive to notify applicants about their admission status as promptly as possible.

Yes. Full-time MBA interviews are for evaluation of both admission and scholarship potential. Students will be notified of both at the same time, unless otherwise noted.

We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise. If you need to reschedule your interview day due to a conflict, please reach out to the TCU MBA program admissions team as soon as possible. They will work with you to find an alternative date, depending on availability.

While attending the interview day in-person is encouraged, it is not mandatory for admission consideration. If you are unable to travel to campus for an interview, we can arrange a virtual interview via Zoom or an alternative platform.
