Craig Crossland officially started as the new John V. Roach Dean for the TCU Neeley School of Business on July 1, to a warm welcome and he quickly engaged faculty, staff, students and partners to build a foundation of collaboration and community.

Crossland is meeting with staff and faculty individually, in teams and in social settings, and he is attending school events for a firsthand experience of the culture that makes Neeley such a special place.

Some of the summer activities have included programs for current students and prospective students. Crossland attended two camps, the Neeley Office of Inclusive Exclusive’s Accelerated Career Awareness Program (ACAP) and the TCU Neeley Analytics Academy, both of which welcome high school students to campus and introduce them to business careers with an emphasis on areas such as accounting, marketing, entrepreneurship and finance.

Crossland also recently hosted a TCU send-off celebration in San Antonio for incoming, first-year students.

“The San Antonio Send-Off event was a highlight of my summer,” Crossland said. “I’m so grateful to the local hosts, Les and Monica Garrett, and to all of the incoming students and their parents who joined us to celebrate. This event reinforced for me, yet again, that TCU is a truly special place. I shared with the group that we view it as our responsibility to inspire, educate and develop future leaders, and to prepare these young women and men for careers that may not yet exist.”

Crossland, who is originally from Australia and grew up in Brisbane, brings extensive leadership experience including his most recent role as senior associate dean for academic programs for the Mendoza College Business at the University of Notre Dame.

Crossland has embraced the Neeley Promise to “…unleash human potential with leadership at the core and innovation in our spirit,” and invites students, faculty and staff to see it as a touchstone and inspiration.

“At Neeley, we have lofty ambitions, and we continue to aspire to strengthen our place among the elite business school in the U.S. and the world,” Crossland said.
