Aug. 2 START Workshop - Opening night, 4:30-9:00 p.m.
Join your classmates and MBA faculty and staff for programming designed to help you get to know each other while setting the tone for your MBA experience. You will have a professional headshot taken, so attire is business professional.
Aug. 2-19 START Workshop
Required for all incoming full-time MBA students, this immersive onboarding experience prepares you for all aspects of life as an MBA student. Sessions will take place on campus, beginning at 8:00 a.m. each day. You will enroll in fall classes and participate in a friendly case competition as part of START Workshop. 
Aug. 9 Spouses & Significant Others Event
Incoming MBA spouses and significant others gather to connect with each other, gain perspective from the spouses and significant others of second year students, and understand the rhythm of the MBA experience. 
Aug. 19 Alumni/Incoming Student Mixer
5:30 p.m. – Join alumni and incoming students from all business graduate programs for a networking mixer at the Legends Club at Amon G. Carter Stadium. Attire is business casual.

Watch for an email from Olivia Williams, Director of Graduate Academic Programs, regarding the fall class enrollment process. You will have the opportunity to enroll in fall classes prior to orientation.
Aug. 12 Orientation – Opening Night and Dinner
5:00 - 8:00 p.m. – Join your classmates and MBA faculty and staff on campus for programming designed to prepare you for an outstanding MBA experience. Business casual attire is appropriate, but you may want to bring a jacket to wear for the professional headshot photograph that will be taken shortly after your arrival. Dinner will be provided.

8:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. – Join other incoming students for professional development, an introduction to the Graduate Career Center, and lunch with your newly assigned fall learning team.
Aug. 15 Optional Excel Workshop
8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., TCU Campus – We will offer the first four hours of an eight-hour beginner’s Excel class. The second part of this class will be offered via Zoom on Saturday, Sept. 18, 8:30a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Watch for an email from Olivia Williams in late July for details on how to secure a spot in this two-part class, which is being offered at no charge.
Aug. 16 Accounting Workshop #1 of 2 (Required)
6:30-9:00 p.m. via Zoom – As an onramp to one of your initial fall classes, Financial Reporting, join your professor Dr. Pat Walters for content you will be expected to know on the first day of class.
Aug. 18 Accounting Workshop #2 of 2 (Required)
6:30-9:00 p.m. via Zoom – This session, also let by Dr. Walters, will complete your preparation for the fall Financial Reporting class.

Aug. 13-14 Energy in the 21st Century Class and Orientation

Friday, 8:30 a.m. – Join Ann Bluntzer and other faculty for the kickoff of your initial core class, Energy in the 21st Century. Following a day of learning and discussion, enjoy the opportunity get to know classmates and program faculty during a casual, offsite dinner.

Saturday, 8:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. – Join other incoming students for professional development, an introduction to the Graduate Career Center, and lunch with your newly assigned fall learning team. Following lunch, your Energy in the 21st Century class will continue until 5 p.m.

11:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. – Join us on the TCU campus for a series of events planned by Valerie Johnston, the faculty leader for the Health Care MBA program. Following lunch with a guest speaker and alums, you will benefit from a health care career planning session, a detailed discussion of the program experience, and a Professional Organization Roundtable. The day will conclude with a networking reception with the Health Care MBA Advisory Board and program alumni.

Orientation, the Career Management Course and one-on-one coaching will equip you with abundant tools for career search success. In the meantime, explore the sites below to begin focusing in on your MBA internship search and post-graduate career goals.

To help you “hit the ground running” when classes begin, you will be asked to complete several online modules designed to give you the base of knowledge necessary to be productive in your classes. Additionally, you will have access to suggested tools to help you refresh or build skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

Required Modules: Please be aware that the modules are time consuming and may take more than a total of 40 hours to complete. You must be a deposited student and have set up your TCU email account to access the modules.

No need to join a fitness center! The “Rec” has everything you will need. Once you are a student in the fall, you will have free access to the Rec. For those arriving in the summer, we will offer reduced rates for access. More information soon.
